Gernétic was launched in 1978 by French biologist, Albert Laporte, who had developed a cream to treat skin burns for patients in a Paris hospital. The cream he created not only assisted the healing process of burns and scars but also improved the overall health and defence mechanisms of the skin.

Today, Gernétic is created in Laboratoires Gernétic Synthése (Labo.Ger.S), in a region of south-west France known as le Gers. There, Labo.Ger.S benefits from its superb, ecological environment, ideal for the creation and production of high quality natural products.
