Trace Elements

Trace Elements for Vitality

Gernétic uses all the trace elements. Trace elements provide energy to living organisms.
They are like the electrical component to any tools. A mobile phone cannot operate without being charged up. Similarly our cells cannot operate without the energy acquired from the trace elements. These are found in all our food.

A few of the most important trace elements found in the Gernétic range of products are  cobalt, copper, magnesium, manganese, potassium, zinc and calcium.

  • Cobalt – essential for red blood cell formation and is helpful to other cells. Found in milk, kidneys, clams and oysters.
  • Copper – Copper works with iron to help the body form red blood cells. It also helps keep the blood vessels, nerves, immune system, and bones healthy. A good source of copper is found in oysters and other shellfish, whole grains, beans, nuts, potatoes, kidneys and liver.
  • Magnesium – Magnesium, an abundant mineral in the body, is naturally present in many foods. Magnesium is required for energy production, structural development of bone and for the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and the antioxidant glutathione. Found in raw spinach, nuts and seeds, fish and lentils.
  • Manganese –required by the body for proper enzyme functioning, nutrient absorption, wound healing, and bone development.
Found in spices, herbs, wheat germ, bran, nuts, mussels and dark chocolate.
  • Potassium – Potassium is an essential nutrient used to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in the body. A deficiency in potassium causes fatigue, irritability, and hypertension (increased blood pressure). Found in white beans, spinach, baked potatoes, apricots and acorn squash.
  • Zinc – Zinc is an essential mineral required by the body for maintaining a sense of smell, healthy immune system, building proteins, triggering enzymes, and creating DNA. Zinc also helps the cells in your body communicate by functioning as a neurotransmitter. Found in seafood, red meat, wheat germ and spinach.
  • Calcium – Calcium is necessary for the growth and maintenance of strong teeth and bones, muscle contraction, nerve signalling, and secretion of certain hormones and enzymes. Found in dark leafy greens, low fat cheese, Chinese cabbage, okra and broccoli.
